The opportunity

An exciting new opportunity exists for a People and Development Manager to join the Sydney team.  Utilising your learning and development knowledge and your HR expertise to assess people’s learning & development needs, consider the businesses goals and to deliver effective initiatives and solutions to create a compelling experience at Accru.

We are seeking an individual who has a passion for nurturing an inclusive workplace and delivering excellence in employee engagement!

The Role

In this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of learning initiatives that support employee development and align with Accru’s goals. You’ll work closely with leaders to identify development needs, coordinate engaging training programs, and continually assess and refine our learning approach. You’ll also help strengthen our culture of continuous growth and explore improvements to our learning systems.

You’ll help shape a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture by leading wellbeing and engagement initiatives that strengthen employee satisfaction and retention. Working with the HR and the leadership team you will launch feedback surveys, and use insights to drive meaningful cultural improvements. You will be familiar with industry best practices to ensure our people experiences remains modern, competitive, and impactful.

You’ll also represent the Accru brand at client events and university career fairs, support the development and management of our employee alumni program, and assist to maintain accurate, up-to-date position descriptions across the firm.

Your Experience and Attributes

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in Learning and Development, People & Culture or Human Resources. You will have experience designing and delivering training programs, supporting engagement activities, managing events, and maintaining accurate HR documentation. A strong understanding of Human Resource processes and systems including HRIS (Employment Hero) would be favourable.

The ideal candidate will be organised, collaborative, and confident working with stakeholders at all levels. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive approach to improvement, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while contributing to a positive, people-centred employee experience.
