The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Supervisor to join our busy Business Services and Management Accounting team to ensure the professional, timely and accurate completion of financial reports and tax compliance for a diverse range of clients across multiple industries. This role will include strong elements of Business and Tax Advisory, and will also have exposure to management accounting and international tax. You will work closely with the Partners and Managers as well as provide guidance, review and oversee the work of a small team of junior accountants. 

This role is paramount in developing, mentoring, coaching and motivating members of the team.

Your experience and attributes

To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor of Commerce, or Business qualification with a major in Accounting.  You will be a Senior Accountant or Supervisor, with at least 3 years’ experience, ideally working within a chartered accounting firm, preferably in a Business Services environment.  You will have completed your CA program and enjoy the advisory component of your role.  Furthermore, you will have solid technical and analytical abilities, with a high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.  You will have a professional approach to work and enjoy interacting with clients and working as part of a small close-knit team.

The ideal candidate will have some supervisory or people management experience and leadership skills and enjoy mentoring younger staff.

Experience with MS Office applications, along with a working knowledge of APS and Xero will be considered favorably.
